RESUMO

The present paper investigates the location pattern of co-working spaces in Delhi which is absent in the existing body of knowledge. Delhi is a political, administrative, educational, scientific and innovation capital that accommodates many co-working spaces in India. We developed Ordinary least squares (OLS) and geographically weighted regression (GWR) models to understand the associations of co-working spaces of digital labourers with other urban socio-economic, services and lifestyle variables in Delhi using secondary data for 117 coworking locations in 280 municipal wards of NCT-Delhi. Model diagnostic suggested that the GWR model provides additional information regarding geographical distribution of coworking spaces, and density of bars, median house rent, fitness centres, metro train stations, restaurants, cinemas, cafés, and creative enterprises are statistically significant parameters to estimate them. The importance of coworking spaces has increased in the post-disaster period, so this study informs public policies to benefit people and companies who choose coworking routes, and recommends urban planners, developers, and real-estate professionals to consider the proximity of creative industries in planning and developing coworking spaces in the future. Also, in the post COVID-19 period, to increase local jobs and long-term place sustainability, a localised policy intervention for coworking spaces in Delhi is highly recommended.

Dentistry is an area of knowledge strongly characterized by its technical-scientific aspect in addition to the artisanal way in which it is performed. In recent years, some phenomena such as the massive application of technology in its processes in addition to the expansion of the professionals' field of activity have modernized the sector without, however, changing the fact that the majority of dentists continue to carry out their activities in clinical environments. , which generates demands for conducting business between peers and support professionals. There is, however, a significant barrier to the effectiveness of transactions of this nature: the decentralized way in which the dentist's clinical work takes place, which keeps these professionals resorting to the traditional method of being recommended by close colleagues to buy, rent and hire, reducing, thus, the possibilities of achieving good business. In a society where "connection" is a keyword for success, it is necessary and urgent to modernize the way in which commercial relationships occur between dental professionals so that this niche of opportunities becomes a relevant market in this sector. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a mobile application with the purpose of connecting dental professionals who wish to sell, rent or provide services to those who wish to buy, rent or hire in an agile, effective and reliable way throughout the national territory. Based on research into the fundamentals, dynamics and trends of e-commerce, sharing economy, bilateral platforms and the dental market, this tool was created using a lowcode development methodology with customization carried out using HTML as a programming language, resulting in an application mobile device whose content is presented in the form of advertisements, divided into 8 categories and 16 subcategories. The tool can be accessed without the need for download and has search and sorting features for personalized viewing, which adds speed to the user experience. As a form of monetization, taxation will be carried out per published advertisement, which may be highlighted and displayed in areas designated for this purpose in the product layout. Having received the name Odontolinks, the application is now available for access in its trial version and can be accessed at: https://app.vc/odontolinks. It is expected that the Odontolinks platform will become the biggest Brazilian reference in bilateral business in the dental sector, constituting a pioneering, effective, modern and safe tool, promoting increased profitability of dentistry businesses and, consequently, of the entire sector in addition to promotingjob creation and the consolidation of the dental community across the country (AU)

RESUMO

The size of cities has been continuously increasing because of urbanization. The number of public and private transportation vehicles is rapidly increasing, thus resulting in traffic congestion, traffic accidents, and environmental pollution. Although major cities have undergone considerable development in terms of transportation infrastructure, problems caused by a high number of moving vehicles cannot be completely resolved through the expansion of streets and facilities. This paper proposes a solution for the parking problem in cities that entails a shared parking system. The primary concept of the proposed shared parking system is to release parking lots that are open to specific groups for public usage without overriding personal usage. Open-to-specific-groups parking lots consist of parking spaces provided for particular people, such as parking buildings at universities for teachers, staff, and students. The proposed shared parking system comprises four primary steps: collecting and preprocessing data by using an Internet of Things system, predicting internal demand by using a recurrent neural network algorithm, releasing several unoccupied parking lots based on prediction results, and continuously updating the real-time data to improve future internal usage prediction. Data collection and data forecasting are performed to ensure that the system does not override personal usage. This study applied several forecasting algorithms, including seasonal ARIMA, support vector regression, multilayer perceptron, convolutional neural network, long short-term memory recurrent neural network with a many-to-one structure, and long short-term memory recurrent neural network with a many-to-many structure. The proposed system was evaluated using artificial and real datasets. Results show that the recurrent neural network with the many-to-many structure generates the most accurate prediction. Furthermore, the proposed shared parking system was evaluated for some scenarios in which different numbers of parking spaces were released. Simulation results show that the proposed shared parking system can provide parking spaces for public usage without overriding personal usage. Moreover, this system can generate new income for parking management and/or parking lot owners.

Abstract The term sharing economy is used in specialized literature to identify how the Internet, smartphones, and applications are changing the global economic dynamic. This article presents documentary research focused on private sharing applications that have emerged in recent decades, intending to contribute to the improvement of local public management. Descriptive data analysis and regression were used to characterize the local governments' adherence to new technologies and to identify how these new technologies affect the fiscal performance of municipalities measured by the FIRJAN Fiscal Management Index. The results obtained show that shared economy Apps can contribute in different ways, with emphasis on greater cooperation and coordination within and between local governments, reduction in the underutilization of assets, greater access and improvement in the quality of public services, and greater interaction and citizen participation in public decisions. The estimated regression shows that the use of new communication technologies contributes to improving the municipalities' fiscal performance. However, these technologies are little used and should be encouraged in local public administrations.

RESUMO

In the past ten years, Airbnb has rapidly grown from a small, online bed and breakfast product to a leading peer-to-peer hospitality magnate which operates in eighty thousand cities globally. It now offers rooms-for-rent, entire houses for rent, and even allows people to book 'experiences' through the platform. Consequently, cities, researchers, and the concerned public are focusing more on its impacts and exploring viable ways to regulate and facilitate the business while minimizing its potentially negative effects. To better understand Airbnb's operation in US cities, this paper explored how demographics, socioeconomics, and transportation might affect Airbnb listings in forty US cities. The results showed that Airbnb rentals were more likely to locate in neighborhoods with good transit service, short distances to the city center, and high median house value and household income. This study indicated the possible social inequality risk in the shared economy.
